Stallion Presentation & Match My Mare (Alpha)

Status: Alpha — not yet generally available. This feature is currently in development and is only available to a small number of selected stables. If your stable doesn't see a "Stallions" section in the admin yet, that's expected — see Requesting Alpha Access below.

Discover the perfect match for your mare with our upcoming stallion presentation platform. This feature provides a dedicated space to showcase your stallions, highlight their unique traits, and streamline your breeding operations.

What It Will Do​

  • Present your stallions — Create dedicated, public profiles for each stallion, including pedigree, performance record, and photos.
  • Highlight strengths & properties — Emphasize what makes your stallions unique, from bloodlines to competition results.
  • Receive insemination inquiries — Mare owners browsing the public directory can submit an appointment request directly through the platform; admins manage and respond to these requests from a dedicated inquiry dashboard.

Who It's For​

  • Stable owners who want to showcase their stallions and manage breeding appointment requests in one place, instead of over email or phone.
  • Mare owners who want to discover available stallions and request an insemination appointment without leaving the site.

Match My Mare​

Beyond a static directory, stallion profiles are built to help a mare owner narrow down the right stallion — transparently, with no black-box scoring.

For mare owners: the matching tool​

On the public stallions page, a Match My Mare panel lets you describe your mare — her discipline, the temperament you're after, and whether she's ridden by an amateur or a professional. The directory instantly re-orders to put the most relevant stallions first, and every suggested stallion shows why it matched ("Discipline", "Temperament", "Amateur-friendly") — so you stay in control of the decision. If nothing is an exact fit, you still see every stallion, clearly flagged, instead of an empty page. Your selections carry over to the inquiry form, so you don't have to retype them.

For stables: richer stallion profiles​

When you edit a stallion, you can now capture the details mare owners actually look for:

  • Temperament & suitability — tag each stallion's temperament (calm, sensitive, forward, easy-going, bold) and whether his foals suit amateur or professional riders. These power the Match My Mare suggestions.
  • Notable offspring — list the stallion's foals and what they've achieved (name, achievement, and an optional discipline). A sire's progeny record is often the most convincing proof of his quality.
  • Stud fee, semen availability & fertility — show the cover fee, which semen types you offer (fresh, chilled, frozen), and a short fertility note (for example, "conception rate 85% over the last three seasons"). These appear as clear info tiles on the public profile, kept entirely separate from any sale price.

Every one of these fields is optional — profiles that leave them blank simply don't show them.

Requesting Alpha Access​

Because this feature is still being validated, it's rolled out to one stable at a time rather than everyone at once. A Request Alpha Access option will appear on the platform once the public directory ships; until then, reach out directly if you'd like to be considered for early access.

What's Not Included Yet​

This is an early version focused on presentation and inquiries — the following are intentionally out of scope for now:

  • Booking/payment processing for a breeding appointment (inquiries are request-only)
  • A per-stallion availability calendar
  • Black-box or AI match scoring — Match My Mare is deliberately transparent and reason-based, never a hidden percentage
  • Persistent mare owner profiles on the platform
