Feature Flags

Not every stable needs every part of the system switched on. The Configuration page lets an admin turn individual features on or off for their stable — so a small stable that only wants a public sales website isn't cluttered with invoicing, paddock booking, and staff tools it will never use.

Enabled Features toggles

Toggles are grouped into two rows: Standard Features, included with every stable, and PRO Features, which also require an active PRO subscription — a PRO toggle switched on does nothing for a stable that hasn't upgraded. After changing any toggles, click Save Features for the change to take effect.

1. Turning a Feature On or Off (Update)​

Flip the switch next to any feature and click Save Features. The change applies immediately across the admin panel, the member portal, and the staff view — anyone currently logged in sees the relevant menu items appear or disappear the next time they load a page.

2. What Each Feature Does​

Standard Features​

  • Services: Shows the "Our Services" section on your public website, listing what your stable offers (training, boarding, etc.).
  • Sale: Publishes your for-sale horses on the public website and enables the sales-horse management tools in the admin panel.
  • Leasing: Publishes horses marked "for lease" on the public website and enables the Leases management area in the admin panel.
  • Our Horses: Publishes a page showing off horses the stable owns but isn't selling, leasing, or breeding out — retired horses, broodmares, school horses, family horses, and the like. See Our Horses.
  • Stables: The master switch for the entire internal stable-operations area — Members, Boarded Horses, Health Records, and everything else under Stables in the admin menu. Turning this off hides that whole section.
  • Terms: Enables the Stable Terms & Conditions page, where you publish liability waivers and track which members have accepted them.
  • Blog: Enables the blog section of your public website and its admin editor.
  • FAQ: Enables a Frequently Asked Questions section on your public website.
  • Training: Enables a public page describing your training programs or services.
  • Testimonials: Enables a public section showing quotes and reviews from clients.
  • Feature Requests: Adds a "Request a Feature" button for admins, so you can suggest new capabilities directly from the app instead of over email.
  • Support Chatbot: Adds a floating AI chat assistant for admins, which answers "how do I…" questions using this wiki. See the Support Chatbot page.
  • Health Records: Enables vaccination, deworming, and farrier tracking on each horse's profile, visible to admins, staff, and the horse's owner.

PRO Features​

  • Member Portal (PWA): Gives your boarders their own login and dashboard (the "Member Portal"), where they can see their horse's records, book paddocks, and more.
  • Paddock Reservations: Enables riding-arena/paddock booking for members, with capacity limits you control.
  • Events: Enables the Events area (stable-wide events and, if the Lessons feature is also on, group lesson scheduling) for admins, staff, and members.
  • Finance & Profitability: Enables dashboards that show income, costs, and profitability per horse or per stable.
  • Stable Map & Maintenance: Enables the visual 2D map of your stalls/boxes and the maintenance-request tracker for reporting things that need fixing.
  • Document Vault: Gives every horse its own private, secure file storage for photos, videos, and documents that shouldn't be public — see Documents and Files.
  • Staff Management: Unlocks the dedicated Staff View workspace and lets you assign the Staff role to team members.
  • Daily Care Feed: Enables the day-to-day care log (who fed, turned out, or trained each horse) and the touch-friendly barn grid staff use to record it.
  • Announcements: Lets admins broadcast stable-wide news to members, delivered as a daily digest notification.
  • Member Messages: Enables private two-way messaging between members and admins.
  • Billing: Enables the full invoicing system — boarding contracts, manual charges, automated monthly invoice runs, and credit notes. Billing is currently in alpha and is a paid add-on at €10/month on top of PRO; alpha users pay nothing extra for it for the first 3 months. Custom integrations beyond the built-in Billit connection are set up on request.
  • Lessons: Layered on top of Events — enables members to buy lesson credits and book a spot in a scheduled group lesson.
  • Stallion Profiles: Enables the stallion-presentation side of the Breeding module — stallion profiles, insemination inquiries, covering records, and Match My Mare. Mare cycle and pregnancy tracking is always available on mares and isn't gated by this toggle.
  • AI Passport Scan: Lets admins photograph a horse's paper passport and have its details filled in automatically instead of typed by hand. See Adding Horses with an AI Photo Scan.
